Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to present our company, Corfini Gourmet. We are a Seattle based company that specializes in distributing local and natural meats whenever possible. Corfini Gourmet began back in 2003, the name “Corfini” comes from my mother’s side of the family and was part of her maiden name Schifani-Corfini. My mother’s sisters and their children (my cousins, and there are several of them!) still mostly reside in the north of Italy, more or less near the town of Corfino in Tuscany, where the name originated. While I was growing up here in Washington State I frequently travelled to Italy to see my family and visit relatives. While there, I was exposed to some of the greatest foods Italy has to offer which is why after years of plugging away in corporate America I decided to go it alone and start a food distribution company focused on sourcing and distributing hard to find specialty items. Initially, we sold specialty oils, fresh truffles, imported Italian cheeses, and great cured and fresh meats; in fact our first protein ever, was Artisan Foie Gras. Today as many of you are well aware, Corfini Gourmet has not forgotten its roots on the specialty side of things, but has added significantly to our product offering. Currently, we focus on sourcing all natural, hand crafted meats from local farmers whenever possible. The products we market were chosen for their quality, consistency, availability and overall uniqueness to the marketplace. These products are marketed and delivered with passion and great pride that form the basis of the Corfini core. As Corfini Gourmet continues to grow and thrive, we look forward to employing more people and contributing to the local economy. It’s hard to believe I started alone back in 2003 and now we are fast approaching twenty employees and have a fleet of refrigerated vans that circulate all over King county. From a product standpoint, we will continue to spend many of our resources working with local farmers to truly change the way people dine in the greater Seattle area, not only within fine dining, but also at your favorite neighborhood restaurant or burger joint. A common misconception, is that local and natural always means expensive, I am here to tell you NOT TRUE! It is our commitment to the chefs we supply to partner with local farmers and to source the highest quality meats available in and around the Puget Sound area and keep things affordable. Corfini Gourmet is absolutely dedicated to servicing all of our valued customers. As a rapidly growing local business, we are continually looking at ways to streamline our operations and improve customer service. No matter the size of customer, you will quickly realize that we care about your business and have strong product knowledge which will quickly separate us from our competitors. Corfini Gourmet and our network of partnered suppliers look forward to working with you.
